Fresh figures from the HM Land Registry and Property Solvers show that the average property price in Carshalton now sits at £567,695 – well above many nearby towns.
Over the last five years, homes in the area have grown in value by £112,427 – a jump of 22.15 per cent.
In just the past year, prices have climbed by 3.82 per cent, equivalent to a £22,527 rise.
There were 200 residential sales across Carshalton in the past 12 months – down 13 per cent from the previous year, which saw 226 sales.
Most of those sold homes – 41 of them – were priced between £410,000 and £520,000, while 36 properties sold in the £574,000 to £706,000 bracket.
