Lord Sugar has chosen Dean Franklin as the winner of The Apprentice 2025, saying that he has been “quite good”.
He was competing against Sutton-based Pizza company owner Anisa Khan, who remained in the competition for 12 weeks.
Anisa Khan began her business Bombay Pizza in 2020 in Wallington, serving up a vibrant fusion of Italian pizza-making with bold South Asian flavours.
The business has gained acclaim for its inventive 12-inch pizzas, including the spicy ‘Chilli Paneer’ and indulgent ‘CTM’ (Chicken Tikka Masala).
Ms Khan, who is also an English national kabaddi player, has expanded her venture with ‘Bombay Pizza by Post,’ a nationwide delivery service that recently sold out due to high demand.
The final saw “familiar faces” return to help create brands and advertising campaigns, before the pair gave their final pitch in an attempt to convince the 78-year-old businessman to make them his business partner and invest £250,000.
Taking to Instagram, she expressed her pride for making it to the final, describing it as “a journey” which was “no small feat.”
Despite not winning the investment, she added that she “wasn’t fired – just fuelled” and expressed her hope for a positive future following the show.
In her post she wrote: “What a journey.
“Proud to be a finalist on this year’s The Apprentice!
“Congratulations to @deanfranklin__ on securing the investment and becoming @lord_sugar new business partner.
“Getting to the final was no small feat—I worked incredibly hard every single week, and I’m proud of everything I put into this process. From the boardroom to the kitchen, I gave it my all to bring my vision to life and show that South Asian fusion pizza has a place on tables across the UK.
“Thank you to The Apprentice for giving me the platform to share my business with the nation. Since the show, demand has soared. I’ve already launched Bombay Pizza By Post—delivering our pizzas across the UK—and I’m now working on opening my second location in the next few months.
“I was never fired—just fuelled.
“This is just the beginning.”
