Jake Tomkinson, 31, stole tea and coffee items to the value of £80 from Co-op on McLeod Road on January 29.
He was arrested and charged with theft from a shop and possession a knife in public.
Tomkinson, of no fixed abode, denied both charges.
However, on March 24 he was found guilty of the charges by Bromley Magistrates’ Court.
Last Tuesday, April 8, he was sentenced to six months in custody.
