Police officers were called to Harold Hill Co-op, in Farnham Road, just before midnight last night (April 17) after reports of a “suspected break-in” at the store.
Once at the scene, officers found that damage had been caused to the shop’s front shutter, while items had also been stolen from inside.
Harold Hill Co-op has been pictured with a square hole in its shutters and police tape in front of the premises.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told the Recorder that two suspects “made off from the location” and enquiries are ongoing to find them.

The spokesperson said: “On Thursday (April 17) at 11:55pm officers were called to Farnham Road, Harold Hill to reports of a suspected break-in at a retail premises.
“Damage was caused to the front shutter of the store and items were stolen from inside.
“A crime scene was in place, but has since been closed.
“No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation continues.”
