The latest trailer for the eighth film in the franchise saw Cruise clinging to a flying plane and running across London.
It’s not the first time London has been the backdrop for a Mission: Impossible film.
In Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Cruise has a chase scene across the capital running on the rooftops of St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tate Modern.
However, in the latest edition of the blockbuster franchise, one scene from the newest trailer has left many Londoners baffled over a huge mistake at Trafalgar Square.

The ominous trailer shows a shot of Trafalgar Square from the sky with views of dozens of protesters and an army surrounding the crowd.
Although much of the Square looks accurate, Londoners were quick to spot a clear and very big error.

As the new Mission: Impossible trailer shows an entrance to a London Underground station where you would find the real public toilets.

London is expected to play a big role in the new Cruise film, with one shot seemingly showing an explosion in one area of the capital and another seeing Cruise run outside the Houses of Parliament.
