Police were called to the reports on High Road yesterday (March 27) at 4.54pm.
At the scene a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of common assault.
According to the Metropolitan Police an officer was also assaulted so he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency services worker.
The force says that the officer did not need to go to hospital and that the suspect arrested remains in custody.
One eyewitness said aa “large crowd gathered” and “traffic stopped “ due to the incident as the public watched the man get detained.
