The force has released figures showing the number of offences across the borough in the 12 months since February 2024.
A total of 30,193 crimes were recorded, with the top two accounting for more than half of them.
Top of the table with 7,873 incidents recorded was violence against a person, which received 26.08% of the total
Second was theft with 7,604 crimes logged: 25.18% of the total.
There were 4,573 vehicle offences – 15.15%, and 2,659 burglaries, 8.81%.
Next came public order offences, with 1,985 crimes recorded – 6.57% of crimes.
There were 1,984 recorded incidents of arson and criminal damage – also 6.57% of the total.
Data revealed 1,355 drug offences logged (4.49%), and 851 robberies (2.82%).
There were 824 recorded sex offences across the borough – 2.73% of all crimes – including rape, harassment, malicious communication, stalking, strangulation, making threats to kill and breach of a sexual notification orders.
There were 354 “miscellaneous” crimes, which could include engaging in activities which suggest the intent to commit a crime, such as unlawfully entering a house, or possessing picklock keys – 1.17% of listed crimes.
Scotland Yard took possession of 127 weapons and there were four cases of fraud and forgery across the borough.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “A commitment to neighbourhood policing is central to our delivery of a New Met for London.
“We are working with our communities to ensure that crime is reported, victims are supported and those responsible for committing crime are brought to justice.
“We also continue to use data and technology, such as phone tracking and surveillance techniques, to target offenders and investigate crimes that impact those living and working in London.
“There is no place for violence or the threat of violence in public or in people’s homes. Violence against women and girls is a particular area of focus, and it is vital that victims of domestic violence and harassment seek support and report criminal offences to police.”
