Police were called to Pennyfields Park yesterday (March 26) at 5.45pm to reports of a stabbing and found a boy injured.
He was taken to hospital, where his injuries are thought to be non-life changing or threatening.
No arrests have been made, but police continue to investigate with “urgent enquiries”.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday (March 26) at 5.45pm, police were called to Pennyfields Park, Poplar following reports of a stabbing.
“Police attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a boy for stab wounds.
“He was taken to a near-by hospital, where his injuries were later confirmed to be non-life changing/threatening.
“At this early stage, there have been no arrests.
“Officers are currently conducting urgent enquiries, if you have any information that may assist then please come forward by calling 101 stating CAD6073/26March.
“Enquiries are on-going.”
