The fire in Netherhall Gardens started in the fourth floor and roof of the house that had been converted into flats just after 6.30pm yesterday (March 19).
Around 70 firefighters attended with ten fire engines and one person was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation by the ambulance service.(Image: LFB)
Two 32-metre turntable ladders were at the scene being used as water towers to help extinguish the fire from height.
The Brigade’s drone team helped to provide the Incident Commander with a greater awareness of the incident.
The fire was brought under control by 9.10pm but the crews from West Hampstead, Kentish Town, Holloway, Hendon, North Kensington and surrounding fire stations remained on the scene to fully extinguish the fire and were expected remain on the scene through the night.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
