This Easter, Centrale & Whitgift and Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) are bringing an exciting new challenge to Croydon.
Mine Time – The Easter Challenge is an immersive event designed for families to enjoy a bungee run challenge inspired by Minecraft-style gameplay.
The challenge will run from April 14 to April 20 and promises to be an event packed with “action, creativity, prizes, and fun challenges for an Easter celebration like no other”.
The event will give participants just 60 seconds to collect as many coloured blocks as possible while strapped to a bungee cord.
Some blocks will be worth double points, and scores will be recorded on a live leaderboard.
Winners in each age category will take home an Easter prize bundle.
Participants can also head to the brick pit where they can build, craft, and create their own masterpieces.
Centrale & Whitgift and Croydon BID say they are proud to bring this “fantastic Easter experience to Croydon, creating an exciting and memorable event for families across the community.”
Dominque Stagg, Marketing Manager at Centrale & Whitgift, who was also the mind behind Costa del Croydon in Summer 2024, said: “We’re delighted to bring Mine Time to Croydon this Easter.
“This event is all about giving families something active and fun for free over the half term break.
“Mine Time offers a fantastic free event for families to enjoy this Easter, creating a fun and interactive experience for all ages,” said Matthew Sims, Chief Executive Officer of Croydon BID.
“We’re thrilled to support this exciting initiative with Centrale and Whitgift Shopping Centres and can’t wait to see the joy it brings to Croydon town centre.”
The idea is inspired by the Minecraft Movie and promises to bring “the excitement of the gaming world to life, offering families a free, unique opportunity to step into a real-world mining adventure”.
