Rafts were deployed into the reservoir as police closed off Cool Oak Lane, between Hendon and Kingsbury, last night (March 4).
The search took place shortly after 6.38pm and was called off just before 8.20pm.

Despite initial reports, no person was found.

Cars were being diverted away from the bridge by Welsh Harp.
Police tape blocking off the footpath bridge at Welsh Harp Reservoir (Image: Joseph Reaidi) A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.38pm yesterday by the Metropolitan Police after the force received information that a person may be in the water at Welsh Harp Embankment, NW9.
“London Fire Brigade attended to assist but following a search, which included the deployment of our drone team, no person was located.”
The London Ambulance Service also said the incident was later stood down.
