The Metropolitan Police believes that all cases reported of people falling ill yesterday (March 3) are after they took the class A drug.
According to the force, there has been no fatalities, but officers continue to monitor the situation.
It has released a statement regarding the matter after receiving a high number of cases reported throughout the day in and around Camden.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Working alongside our partners, including the local council, enquiries are underway to establish if these drugs are the cause of these people being taken ill.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.”
The force added that people should not buy, sell or consume illegal drugs – emphasising that there are “very serious high risks” due to its illegal usage and not being regulated.
