Whether you need an excuse to dedicate a day to the breakfast choice or not, we have put together a list of five eateries you could celebrate at tomorrow (March 4).
1. Gingham Kitchen, Romford
Found in the Liberty shopping centre, Gingham Kitchen has a number of pancake-related treats on offer.
The restaurant and cafe has been serving food here since 1970 and can seat up to 65 people at a time.
It offers twists on the classic pancake, with each option consisting of two scotch pancakes served with whipped cream or ice cream.
If you like the tropics, you can choose from the Hawaiian style pancakes with pineapple, cherries and cream or the Bahama style pancakes with banana and syrup.
For those with more classic taste, the Devon style pancakes come with cream and jam, whilst the Italian pancakes come with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
2. Kaspa’s, Romford
Located in The Brewery shopping centre, Kaspa’s serves a range of desserts including crepes.
The eatery has seven options on offer to satisfy your Pancake Day needs.
These include banoffee, brownie and strawberry and cream crepes.
3. The Waffle Bar, Hornchurch
Despite its name, The Waffle Bar in Ardleigh Green Road has a menu which includes crepes.
Customers can opt to make their own crepe from a list of toppings, or choose from more than 15 set crepe options.
Crepe flavours here range from Lotus Biscoff spread to those inspired by desserts such as apple crumble and eton mess.
4. Poppins, Romford
Poppins Cafe is located in Western Road.
The chain was established in 1979 and features classic booth seating.
Poppins has four pancake options on offer, including a ‘Choclog’ pancake which is made with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, ice cream and chocolate log on a large pancake.
They also serve more typical American pancakes with cream and syrup among others.

5. Toastea Cafe, Romford
Toastea Cafe has two options for pancake lovers to choose from on their menu.
Visitors can choose between the ‘American Dream’ pancake stack with bacon and maple syrup, or a stack of four pancakes with your choice of toppings.
It can be found in Whitchurch Road.
