The London Fire Brigade was called at 12.46am this morning (March 3) with reports of a fire at a commercial property with flats above in Watford Way.
This was the first of thirteen calls received reporting the same fire.
Ten fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters were deployed to the scene, using a 32 metre turntable ladder to help manage the fire.
A section of the nearby A1 was closed in both directions whilst crews from Mill Hill, Hendon, and Finchley worked to put out the fire.
The incident was under control by 3.16am, and its cause is now under investigation.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were also in attendance and treated two patients before discharging them.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.45am today (3 March) to reports of a fire on Watford Way, NW7.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART).
“We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.”
“We treated two patients at the scene before discharging them.”
