Changes being proposed for Fircroft, Oakwood Close, Chislehurst, include a part single/two storey rear extension, a garage conversion, and various roof and exterior alterations.
The plans, submitted by the London Borough of Bromley, aim to enhance or preserve the character of the Chislehurst Conservation Area.
The council has also disclosed a series of modifications to a previously approved development on Bromley Road in Beckenham.
The changes are part of a planning application for Coleridge House, which initially received the green light in February 2022.
The original plan involved the demolition of existing buildings at 79 and 79A Bromley Road and the construction of a new building to provide 27 residential units.
It also included the provision of car parking, landscaping, and associated works.
However, the new application seeks to make several changes to the initial plan.
These include alterations to the rear and front elevations, an increase in the basement footprint, and the provision of a ventilation structure to the basement car park.
The internal layout of the flats will also be modified, along with alterations to the unit mix of the flats.
Additionally, details concerning various conditions of the original planning permission have been submitted.
These relate to tree planting, boundary treatments, refuse storage, cycle parking, highway drainage, and a service and delivery plan during construction.
Other conditions include noise attenuation, a ventilation/heat recovery system, electric vehicle charging points, and the stopping up of existing highway access.
The car park management scheme, secure by design, and ecological enhancements are also part of the submitted condition details.
Both applications can be viewed by the public via the Bromley Council’s public access website at bromley.gov.uk/planningaccess.
The public is invited to submit any observations concerning the proposed developments in writing to the Assistant Director at the Civic Centre.
These should be made within 21 days of the publication of the advertisement.
The public’s input is crucial in shaping these developments, ensuring they meet the needs and expectations of the local community while preserving the character and charm of the area.
