Victoria Thorpe, 40, of Tulip Close, died on Valentine’s Day at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
The crash happened the day before in Briar Road, Harold Hill, which the Metropolitan Police Service was called to at 7.30pm.
An inquest was formally opened into her death at East London Coroner’s Court, Walthamstow, on Thursday (February 27).
Coroner’s officer Jean Smyth described Ms Thorpe as a ward manager nurse, but did not say where she had worked.
A post-mortem examination on February 21 gave Ms Thorpe’s cause of death as multiple injuries.
Coroner Nadia Persaud told the court: “As there is an active police investigation ongoing, I’m going to give priority to the police investigation.”
*Richard Sharpe, 42, of Kidman Close, Gidea Park, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
