Grammar schools such as Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar and Townley Grammar tend to rank higher due to their higher entry requirements, but some state academies like Blackfen School for Girls and Harris Garrard Academy showed strong progress despite different intake backgrounds.
Haberdashers’ Crayford Academy and Cleeve Park School had lower progress scores, suggesting students didn’t make as much improvement compared to others across the country.
Bexley’s overall average A-level grade was C+ (34.98 points), which is close to the national average for state-funded schools (C+ at 34.38 points).
However, when independent schools are included, the national average jumps to B- (35.55 points).
