The grocery chain will provide disabled customers with 10% off when they spend £25 or more on groceries online.
To access the exclusive discount, customers need to sign up for the free discount platform, Purpl.
They would need to verify their disability status with accepted documentation and their discount code can then be applied online on the Morrisons.com checkout page.
In a statement, Morrisons said: “The discount will aid the 16.1 million people or 24% of Brits who currently live with a disability.”
They added: “The partnership with Purpl will start as a trial to validate the benefit to the disabled community across the UK.”
According to the grocery chain, an average family of four in the UK spends £117 on groceries per week.
They claim that by using the exclusive 10% discount, disabled households could save about £11.70 per week, £46.40 per month, and £556.80 annually.
Charlotte Exell, Director of Online and Ability Lead for Morrisons, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Purpl to help make Morrisons more accessible to customers living with a disability.
“We know from listening to our disabled customers that they often face a number of additional living expenses and so this trial will help lower the cost of their grocery bills.”
Georgina Colman, Founder of Purpl, said: “I am so proud that we’ve been able to partner with Morrisons to offer this discount.
