The incident between a pedestrian and a bus in Beresford Street just before 9am today (February 24).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is currently being assessed.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to a report of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on Beresford Street, Woolwich at 8.57am on Monday, 24 February.
The pedestrian, a man, was taken to hospital, where his injuries will be assessed.
The road remains closed for recovery. No arrests have been made.”
