2024 was a major year for the RNLI charity, which celebrated its 200th anniversary by attending a special service at Westminster Abbey, as well as other charity events throughout the year, including participating in Remembrance Day.
In a statement, the Lifeboat Operations Manager gave thanks to the volunteers, which the charity relies on to carry out its vital and often life-saving missions.
Matt Allchurch, Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: “The achievements of all of our crwe whether rescuers, educators, safety team, fundraisers, or advisors are commendable. Every member of Teddington RNLI is a volunteer.
“They give their time, expertise and often sleep for the good of our community. Everything that they have done in our 200th Anniversary year has been impressive and made a real difference. Look out for news of what is happening in 2025.“
