Renting in London has never been cheap, the in-demand location attractions millions of new renters every year, many looking for affordable locations.
Now, new research released by Rent London Flat’, shares that South East London’s Bexley is the cheapest area for rent, with the average cost at £1100 per month.
In data collected through the latest statistics released by the Valuation Office Agency, it was found that London has the highest median monthly rent at £1430 average.
That means that London is among the most expensive cities in the world for renters, along with Paris, Zurich and Hong Kong.

The cheapest places to rent in London listed
A 45-minute journey to central London, Bexley is popular for students and commuters who want a slice of town life with the city life.
On Rightmove, you can currently rent a two-bed, two-bathroom flat with a small balcony for £1,550 pcm.
Also among the cheapest areas was Havering, where the average rent was £1,145 per month.
In Havering, you can currently rent a one-bed, one-bath flat for £1,200 per month via Zoopla.
Greenwich was among the more expensive areas, with an average rent of £1,250 per month.
