Redbridge Council was allocated £853,000, while Newham and Waltham Forest have been allocated the third and fourth highest share of the funding at £692,000 and £686,000, respectively.
Barking and Dagenham Council is set to receive £556,000, while Tower Hamlets will get the lowest share of the pot at £447,000.
The highway maintenance funding from the government is part of a plan to fix up to seven million potholes nationwide this year.
Dagenham and Rainham MP Margaret Mullane welcomed the pothole boost after the investment was announced in December, calling it “much-needed funding to help put right the years of neglect of our roads”.
She added that it will “help prevent accidents to motorists and cyclists and cut down on the damage to vehicles going over potholes”.
