The boy, who cannot be identified due to his age, is charged with possession of an offensive weapon on school premises.
It is alleged that he was caught with a black handled Gurkha knife with a blade of approximately 30cm long on the grounds of a school on December 5.
As the school has a small pupil population we have chosen not to name it so as not to identify the boy.
He will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court later this week.
