Metropolitan Police officers have charged eight Londoners following a breach of Public Order Act conditions at the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) march on Saturday (January 18).
Those charged include Starr Thomas and Tessa Roe-Stanton, both 20, of Breakspears Road, Brockley; David Ok, 40, of Teighnmouth Road, Kilburn; and Christopher Nineham, 62, of Daling Way, Bow.
A further two people, from Bristol and Wales, were also charged with public order offences.
The charges follow nearly 80 arrests yesterday, as the Met said officers witnessed a “coordinated effort” to breach public order conditions.
These conditions prevented protesters from gathering near a synagogue located a short distance from Portland Place, after taking into account the “impact of the prolonged period of protest on Jewish Londoners”.
A group of protestors tried to breach the conditions despite the PSC agreeing to a static protest in Whitehall before the march.

Commander Adam Slonecki, who led the policing operation, called it a “serious escalation in criminality”, which the Met are taking “incredibly seriously”.
Commander Slonecki said: “Yesterday we saw a deliberate effort, including by protest organisers, to breach conditions and attempt to march out of Whitehall.
“Officers have worked around the clock to pursue those involved.
“We will continue to work through CCTV footage, videos from social media and our body worn cameras so we can make further arrests and bring forward charges where we identify criminality.”
He thanked officers for their professional response, and said that none were injured, however three were spat at and one was physically assaulted.
A total of 48 people remain in custody after the arrests yesterday, while 24 people have been bailed.
The ten people charged are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in the coming days.
