This event, organised by Romford Business Improvement District, will take place on Saturday, January 25, from noon to 4pm in the town centre.
The event, which is open to all, will welcome the Year of the Wood Snake with activities including traditional Chinese lion performances, giant pandas, God of Wealth entertainers, and magic shows.
Attendees can also enjoy live music, drumming performances, and take part in calligraphy and origami classes.
For the food lovers, Wokabout will offer free samples of Chinese cuisine in the market, while Pearl of the Orient in Romford Shopping Hall will be handing out fortune cookies.
Kiddiewinks will be giving away lucky red envelopes from 2pm to 4pm.
Julie Frost, Romford BID director, said: “Our Chinese New Year celebrations have become a highlight within the community, and each year we strive to make the event bigger and better.
“This year, I truly believe we’ve outdone ourselves with even more exciting roaming entertainment.
“We’re especially pleased to introduce the giant cuddly pandas for the first time – they’re unbelievably cute and will be a hit with families looking for the perfect selfie.
“This event is open to everyone, and we hope to see as many people as possible on the day.”
