The installation would be in Prospect Place and an application has been submitted by Cornerstone, a telecoms company who works with the likes of Vodafone, O2, EE and Three.
Cornerstone calls itself the UK’s leading mobile and digital infrastructure provider, managing more than 15,700 sites nationwide.

The Prospect Place plan would see a 20-metre high grey tower erected with two dish antennas and a GPS module.
Two equipment cabinets would also be built and painted green.
Cornerstone saw an application for a 17.5 metre mast in Lewes Road, Romford rejected last year.
But an October application for a 17.5 metre replacement monopole in Manor Avenue, Hornchurch was approved – only 30 metres away from a proposed site where it had an application rejected in February.
A decision on the Prospect Place proposal is expected to be made by February 17.
