Reports released by HM Revenue and Customers every three months name and shame the businesses and individuals who have been caught filing incorrect tax reports across the country.
HMRC last released a new list in late November 2024.
Many are ordered to pay penalties for either deliberately filing errors in their tax returns or deliberately failing to comply with tax obligations.
Below are the Croydon tax defaulters named and shamed by the HMRC.
Nazim Uddin Ahmed, of 65 Blenheim Park Road, South Croydon, was fined £27,564.29 for failing to account for £50,116.90 in property income between April 6, 2013, and April 5, 2017.
John Thomas Forry, a mechanic from 150 Salmons Lane, Whyteleafe, Caterham, was fined £28,373.62 for failing to account for £54,045 in income between April 6, 2019, and April 5, 2020.
Keith Andrew Cadogan was fined £35,270.60 for failing to account for £53,038.50 in income from his property at 56 Broughton Road, Thornton Heath, between April 5, 2015, and April 5, 2016.
Marian Chiric, a construction contractor from 39 Broadway Avenue, Thornton Heath, was fined £20,641.36 after £29,487 in tax was questioned between April 6, 2019, and April 5, 2022.
Prono Ltd, a company specialising in building completion and finishing services at 224F London Road, was also identified as a deliberate tax defaulter.
The company was hit with a £26,961.29 charge after £39,503.75 of tax or duty was unaccounted for between August 31, 2021, and May 31, 2022
