Officers were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks just after 8am on December 28.
An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, members of the Hazardous Area Response Team and an incident response officer from London Ambulance Service attended.
The person was treated at the scene, however, they were pronounced dead shortly after.
The station was shut and remained closed for just over an hour, reopening at around 9.13am.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called 8.01am on Saturday 28 December to reports of an incident in Tooting Broadway Underground Station, SW17.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an incident response officer.
“The first of our crews arrived in four minutes.
“Our crews assessed a patient at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the patient died at the scene.”
