A contract signing and two Championship matches will headline WWE Smackdown on Friday.
Following a chaotic brawl to close out last week’s show in Bologna, Italy, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will be in London, England at the same time to dot the i’s and cross the t’s for their triple threat match at WrestleMania 41.
Contract signings in WWE rarely, if ever, go smoothly and given the issues between these three combustible characters, it’s safe to predict things will go awry in some capacity.
Interestingly, on Monday Night Raw, CM Punk once more teased the potential of Paul Heyman having divided loyalties to himself and Reigns, whilst also vowing to take the ‘Original Tribal Chief’ and Rollins out of the business he brought them into, which was a nice call back to 2012 when ‘The Shield’ debuted on the main roster.
Tensions have been rising between CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins since WWE Royal Rumble 2025

So what will happen at the contract signing? Will there be a stipulation added to the triple threat match? Is CM Punk about to shed more light on the favour he’s owed by Heyman?
Furthermore, in the first of two title matches, LA Knight defends his United States Championship against Braun Strowman.
This bout was signed off after Strowman beat Jacob Fatu by disqualification last week to become the new number one contender. It will be interesting to see the dynamics between the champion and challenger given Knight came to the ‘The Monster of all Monsters’ aid following an attack by Fatu, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.
Elsewhere, the new WWE Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits’ put their titles on the line against Pretty Deadly who may have the home country advantage in this one. With the tag division heating up on Smackdown, it’s likely that the former champions DIY and the Motor City Machine Guns will be watching closely.
Meanwhile, Jade Cargill will be looking to get her hands on Naomi again after what happened last week, Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton are on a collision course ahead of their Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania, and Randy Orton is scheduled for an appearance.
With that said, here’s everything you need to know about the March 28th episode of WWE Smackdown.
WWE Smackdown: Date and start time
WWE Smackdown takes place at a special start time for UK viewers. This is because the show is being broadcast live from London, England as part of WWE’s European tour.
In the UK, coverage is scheduled to start at 8pm GMT on Friday 28, March 2025. This marks a significant change as previously whenever WWE aired shows from Europe in the UK, they’d air on a delay to fit with the United States broadcast times which would have been 1am for the UK audience.
However, that’s all changed with the Netflix deal.
