WWE‘s annual Crown Jewel premium live event (PLE) takes place this weekend.
Though, unlike the previous six editions which were held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this one is being held in Perth, Australia.
An intriguing night is shaping up with both Crown Jewel championships on the line. Smackdown’s Undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes is the reigning men’s Crown Jewel champion after getting the better of Gunther last year and will face Raw’s World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins.
A must-watch bout and rivalry that stretches all the way back to WrestleMania 38 and Rhodes’ shock return to the company. He is currently 3-0 in singles matches against Rollins, though ‘the visionary’ has shown on multiple occasions that he will stop at nothing to get a victory when desperate.
There will be a new women’s Crown Jewel champion crowned as Stephanie Vaquer, the new Raw’s Women’s World champion takes on SmackDown’s WWE Women’s champion, Tiffany Stratton.
In perhaps the most anticipated bout on the card, John Cena continues his retirement tour against long-time rival AJ Styles.
Cena is fresh off suffering a devastating loss to Brock Lesnar at WWE Wrestlepalooza a few weeks ago, but it’s always magic when he steps in the ring with the ‘Phenomenal One’. The pair have put on classics together which means the Perth crowd are in for a treat.

Rhea Ripley will have the honour of performing in her home country, on her birthday nonetheless, as he teams with IYO SKY to take on the Asuka and Kairi Sane, aka The Kabuki Warriors.
Elsewhere on the card, Roman Reigns seeks revenge against Bronson Reed – another Australia native.
The two rivals faced off at Clash in Paris in August and although Reigns picked up a pinfall victory, he left the Paris La Defense Arena on a stretcher after being brutally attacked by Reed and ‘Vision’ stablemate Bron Breakker.
Reigns made his return on the September 29 episode of WWE Raw to help his cousins, Jey and Jimmy Uso, before, a week later, accepting Paul Heyman’s challenge to face Reed in an Australian street fight.
