Fury, however, cannot be written off, and he has come in heavier as he potentially looks to deploy a more front-footed gameplan.
The 36-year-old boasts a fine record in rematches having convincingly overcome Deontay Wilder, Steve Cunningham and Derek Chisora throughout his career.
While there is little doubt Usyk is a different level entirely, Fury is simply too compelling a fighter to dismiss.
Still, even if the British fighter does win, he cannot reach undisputed status.

Fury could win the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, IBO and The Ring belts should he overcome the Ukrainian.
All of those titles are on the line but the winner of the rematch will not be crowned undisputed champion.
Dubois is the reigning IBF world champion before he meets Joseph Parker in February, so the belts will be split between the 27-year-old and whoever the winner of Saturday’s huge clash is.
