The NFL Draft is almost upon us as the league’s headline off-season event heads to Green Bay for 2025.
There was no shortage of drama around last season’s Draft, a particularly strong edition dominated by quarterbacks with no fewer than six taken in the first round including all of the top three picks, five of the top 10 and six of the top 12, led by USC-superstar-turned-Chicago-Bear Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, who is already an elite talent for the Washington Commanders.
It is not generally thought to be a vintage class of signal-callers this time around, though the Tennessee Titans are still heavily expected to use their No1 pick on Miami quarterback Cam Ward as Shedeur Sanders – son of NFL legend Deion Sanders – provides a real wildcard option who could end up being selected anywhere in the first round.
Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter is a potentially generational talent who could help to redefine the game as a two-way college star who excelled at both wide receiver and cornerback alongside the Sanders’ at Colorado, while many people believe that Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter is the best overall talent on offer this year.
With over 250,000 NFL fans expected to be in attendance across three days, here is all you need to know about the 2025 NFL Draft.
The 2025 NFL Draft begins with the first round on Thursday April 24, 2025, taking place live outside the iconic Lambeau Field – home of the Green Bay Packers – as well as the adjacent Titletown District and Resch Campus in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin.
Rounds two and three take place on Friday, April 25 ahead of rounds four to seven being completed on Saturday, April 26.
