It is another high-profile meeting between the sport’s two biggest stars and top-ranked players, who go head to head for the 25th time in front of a sold-out crowd at the Mattioli Arena, with plenty more watching on from home.
Teenage sensation Littler is out to further continue his incredible rise with another major title having thrashed Jonny Clayton 5-1 in Saturday night’s semi-finals, having already edged out Gerwyn Price following commanding early victories over defending champion Mike De Decker and Gian van Veen in a tournament from which he was ousted in the first round in 2024.
But the world No1 once again stands in his way, with Humphries – the losing finalist 12 months ago – having seen off Dutchman Danny Noppert 5-3 in the last four following straightforward wins over Cameron Menzies and Chris Dobey.
They last met in the final of the New Zealand Masters in August, when Littler won 8-4 in Auckland to claim a quick-fire second World Series title after triumphing over De Decker in the Australian Masters.
