The Birmingham favourite had originally been scheduled to begin his comeback against Jack Della Maddalena, only for the Australian to be pulled from the fight as he instead now faces Muhammad for the title at UFC 315 in Montreal in May.
Edwards now takes on American Brady, the UFC’s fifth-ranked welterweight who has back-to-back wins over Kelvin Gastelum and Gilbert Burns to his name since suffering his own stoppage defeat to Muhammad at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi in October 2022.
McCann is also on the main card, hoping to reassert some authority after losing three of her last four fights including against Bruna Brasil in Manchester last July. She was originally supposed to battle Istela Nunes, only for the latter to be replaced at short notice by fellow Brazilian strawweight and UFC debutant Alexia Thainara.
London featherweight Nathaniel Wood will look to build on his win over Daniel Pineda in Manchester as he meets France’s Morgan Charriere, followed by an all-British showdown between England’s Jordan Vucenic and Chris Duncan from Scotland.
Other home fighters in action on the night include Jai Herbert, Lone’er Kavanagh, Mick Parkin, Christian Leroy Duncan and Nathan Fletcher, plus Irish duo Shauna Bannon and Caolan Loughran.
