The man was perched at a height after scaling the bridge at around 10.30am today (March 10).
Tower Bridge has been closed both ways between East Smithfield by Tower Hill and Queen Elizabeth Street as emergency services worked to bring him down.
At 12.32pm, the City of London Police says he has been brought away safely from the railings and that the bridge will reopen shortly.

On Saturday (March 8), a pro-Palestinian protester climbed Big Ben’s Elizabeth Tower and stayed there for 16 hours.
The City of London Police said today: “The man has safely come down from the railings on Tower Bridge.
“The bridge will reopen shortly. Thank you for your patience.”
