Thames Water has confirmed that it is working with Network Rail to carry out inspections near New Cross Gate Station. The company stated that it is currently planning repairs for a pipe that runs over the bridge.
“We’ll complete this as soon as possible,” a spokesperson said.
In the meantime, Thames Water has redirected water from other parts of its network to maintain supply.
Residents in the New Cross SE14 area who are experiencing a loss of water are urged to contact Thames Water directly.
A spokesperson added: “We’ll continue to work with Network Rail throughout our repairs to ensure train services run as normal.
“We will provide further updates as soon as possible.”
This follows ongoing collaboration between Thames Water and Network Rail on assessments near New Cross Gate Station.
Residents in the New Cross area previously faced water supply issues on Saturday, March 1, and were assured that train services would not be disrupted during the work.
