Transport for London (TfL) plans to withdraw route 349, which currently runs between Ponders End and Stamford Hill.
This is part of a wider review of services to simplify the network and reduce overlapping routes.
A spokesperson said: “Route 349 overlaps significantly with other services.
“Withdrawing the route simplifies the network by reducing duplication with other routes and better matches levels of service with passenger demand.”
Under the proposals, some passengers who currently use the 349 would need to switch to alternative routes such as the revised 259 or 279.
This may require passengers to make interchanges.
The 349 is one of three routes under review by TfL in this part of north London.
The changes are intended to streamline services and balance capacity with current passenger needs.
Route 259, which currently runs between Edmonton Green and King’s Cross, would be shortened to run between Ponders End and Holloway, Nag’s Head.
Route 279, currently serving Waltham Cross to Manor House station, would instead terminate at Stamford Hill.
TfL has said the public can share their views on the proposed changes until Friday, January 23, 2026.
