Sutra, which opened in Main Road on February 21, has applied to vary its premises licence so it can provide refreshment and serve alcohol until late in the evening.
The restaurant hopes to provide late night refreshment from 11pm until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and sell alcoholic drinks until 11.30pm on these days.
The licence application details that Sutra wants to serve alcohol 10.30pm on all other days of the week.

Also included in the application is providing entertainment between 11pm and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Sutra replaced Indo-Japanese restaurant Kushi last month, and renovated the interiors ahead of its launch.
Prasanna Rao previously told the Recorder the restaurant aims to bring something new to the area, and is “excited” about the response they have had from residents so far.
Representations can be made on Sutra’s premises licence application until March 25, by writing to The Licensing Authority, Town Hall, Main Road, Romford.
