Kycie’s Kitchen will be welcoming customers to its new venue at 197 St Marys Lane on May 30.
The soul food eatery is understood to previously have had premises around three years ago in Brick Lane, near Spitalfields Market.
According to its Instagram page, the Upminster opening will bring the business back “with a bang”, including a new menu and “new vibes”.
Items on the menu include “Caribbean craves” such as oxtail and brown stew chicken as well as sea food boil bags.
Ahead of the opening, Kycie’s Kitchen Ltd has applied to Havering Council for a premises licence to permit the supply of alcohol from the restaurant.

Representations in connection to the licensing bid must be made in writing to the council by May 27.
Kycie’s Kitchen could also show live sports on the weekends and provide retro arcade gaming for children and adults, hoping to establish itself as “the place to be”.
The address at 197 St Marys Lane is understood to have once been used as a takeaway premises by Bollywood Spice.
