St Edward’s Church in Market Place, has more than 3,500 poppies installed around and inside the building.
The display, opened on November 8, features handmade poppies to honour those who have served and fallen.

In response to TikTok and Facebook posts, it received poppies from across the UK and abroad, including America.
The church went viral on Tiktok after posts from its vicar Revd Jordan Palmer.
A spokesperson for the church said: “We have in excess of 3,500 poppies, mainly from the local community.
“However, we are the church that went viral on TikTok and we now have a number of people watching our services from America, Texas, Virginia, so we received a number of poppies from America this time around.”

The church plans to go “bigger and better” next year with a number of poppies left over.
The spokesperson added: “The display is so important to the church.
“We have had a great response, with a people coming in regularly to see the display.
“Each poppy has been handmade and their is something lovely in that.”
