Emergency services were called to Lewisham station today (November 12) at around 7.10pm to reports of a casualty on the track.
Several police and ambulance vehicles were parked by the entrance and near Station Road.
The person, whose details have not been shared, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
Some lines between Lewisham and New Cross have been closed for the Southeastern – with trains cancelled, delayed or revised.
National Rail estimates this could be until 10.30am.
Bexleyheath line services towards London have been suspended until around 9am, and trains from London towards Bexleyheath and Dartford have since resumed running.
