The following individuals were sentenced to prison time in October 2025.
Bexleyheath child rapist
Brian Grice, 68, was jailed for raping a child.
Grice appeared to be a hard-working and respectable family man until his home on Little Heath Road was raided by police in 2018.
Officers were working on intelligence that Grice had been downloading child sexual abuse images from the internet.
A jury found him guilty of possessing indecent images in 2023 but even more serious charges were already in the pipeline.
In early 2023, a child who had no knowledge of Grice’s online offending revealed to police that they had been sexually assaulted and raped by him when they were as young as six.
Grice was convicted of two charges of raping a child, attempting to rape a child, sexual assault of a child and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
He was sentenced to 21 years in prison.

Voyeuristic pub landlord
Ron Hall, former landlord of the Plough and Harrow pub in Welling, used a camera above the urinals to spy on men’s penises.
Hall was running the pub when between February and December last year he used a spy camera to capture 106 voyeuristic videos of 16 unknown men.
The videos found on the 50-year-old’s phone showed that he had zoomed in and out on men’s private areas for his sexual gratification.
But when questioned by police he made light of the offences calling it a “silly mistake” but that the victims wouldn’t have minded him watching.
He said all the men knew they were being recorded and made jokes like “have you been watching my knob” – not knowing the answer was yes.
Hall was jailed for nine months after he pleaded guilty to 32 offences of voyeurism.

Boy, 15, killed in Woolwich machete attack
The “cowardly” teenagers who killed a 15-year-old boy in a gang-related machete attack in Woolwich have been jailed.
Imri Doue, 18, was convicted of murdering Daejaun Campbell whilst Marko Balaz, 19, was found guilty of manslaughter.
Daejaun cried out “I’m 15, don’t let me die” after he was ambushed on September 22 last year.
His friend and aspiring rapper Kelyan Bokassa, 14, nicknamed Grippa, had featured in a YouTube music video entitled Gotta Eat, in which he was seen crouching beside a floral tribute to Daejaun.
Then on January 7, Kelyan too was fatally stabbed by two 16-year-old boys with machetes on a bus in Woolwich.
Daejaun’s mother Joelle Taylor faced her son’s killers in court and said: “I keep asking when will this knife crime epidemic end?
“The reality is actions like yours tear families and communities apart.”
Judge Sarah Munro KC detained Doue, from Woolwich, for life with a minimum term of 21 years and handed Balaz, from Abbey Wood, 11 years in custody.

New Cross killers
A gang of laughing robbers have been jailed for murdering a Greek tourist in New Cross after he visited a multimillion-pound party mansion linked to an OnlyFans star.
Antonis Antoniadis was followed to south east London by the thieves after he left 32 Portland Place nightclub, in Marylebone, a venue which came to recent public attention when it hosted OnlyFans personality Bonnie Blue in her attempt to sleep with more than 1,000 men in 12 hours.
Antoniadis, 26, died from multiple stab wounds after he was set upon by the gang on Florence Terrace who were wearing balaclavas and were armed with large knives.
Five young men, from Camden, were handed life sentences with minimum terms of between 22 years and 28 years after being found guilty of murder and conspiracy to rob the victim’s Lacoste bag and other possessions.
Shian Johnson, 26, will have to serve at least 28 years before he is eligible for parole.
Sofian Alliche, 20, was handed at least 25 years; his 18-year-old brother Amin Alliche was given 22 years; Joshua McCorquodale, 21, was given 26 years; and Alfie Hipple, 18, was detained with a minimum term of 23 years.
Before they were sentenced, there was laughter in the dock when a man in the public gallery shouted out: “This is bullshit, it’s corrupt. Keep you heads up, don’t let the system break you.”
Judge Rebecca Trowler KC warned against further outbursts, telling the defendants: “I am observing the majority of you – not all – laughing and demonstrating complete failure to respect this process and indeed the damage you have caused.”

Bromley child sex offender
Cliff Lewthwaite, 65, sexually abused a girl from the age of eight.
He was living in Bromley during his late teens and early 20s when he subjected the child to horrific sexual abuse.
He would later go on to abuse two more children – for which he received an 18 year prison sentence in 2019.
Lewthwaite, who is being held in HMP Belmarsh, was said to be “looking forward” to September 2027 – earmarked as his release date as he would have served half of his sentence.
But he has now received an additional 10 year prison sentence after a jury found him guilty of 13 sexual assaults and the attempted rape of a child.

Croydon paedophile
Robert Chown, an IT specialist from Croydon, made six-year-old children live stream sex acts before sharing them to a secretive online forum.
The 49-year-old paedophile was a core member of a child exploitation group that went by the name ‘The Sanctuary’.
In April 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the NCA started investigating The Sanctuary, a private online messaging forum dedicated to the sexual exploitation of children.
Chown was found to be a key contributor to the forum using the username ‘FredHasFiveToes’.
Upon joining the group in 2019, his introductory message read: “Preferences…girls 8-11”.
From his home in south London, Chown pretended to be a teenage boy online to target thousands of children across the world.
Girls and boys as young as six-years-old were coerced by Chown to live stream sexual acts at his instruction, which he would record and share with other paedophiles on ‘The Sanctuary’ and the dark web.
Chown was jailed for 25 years after pleading guilty to 41 charges.

Bromley B&Q tap thief
Daniel Cleveland, 33, of Lamerock Road, Bromley, stole thousands of pounds worth of items from B&Q stores.
He admitted stealing items worth around £16,000, mainly taps, from 11 B&Q branches in Greenwich, Kent, Hampshire, Essex and Buckinghamshire over a 13-month period.
Cleveland worked with another man to steal the goods.
In one incident, at B&Q Larkfield in Kent, security cameras caught Cleveland and his accomplice throwing the stolen items over a fence from inside the garden centre of the store.
The men then collected the goods from the other side and bundled them into a getaway vehicle with false plates.

He’s been sentenced to three years in prison.

Clapham Junction trespasser
Anthony Andre, 42 of Fulham Road, caused travel chaos after entering the tracks at Clapham Junction station.
He went onto the railway line at around 6.30pm on September 10.
Power was switched off to the electric rail, which powers trains through the Clapham area.
Andre was quickly removed from the tracks and arrested but his actions resulted in 38 trains being partially or fully cancelled and caused a total of 3,427 minutes worth of delays to passengers during the evening rush hour.
Clapham Junction is the busiest UK station for interchanges between services, though London Liverpool Street handles the most passengers.
He pleaded guilty to trespass and obstruction and was sentenced to eight weeks in prison.

Teddy bear thief
Ryan Brook, 36, of Cumbrian Avenue in Bexleyheath, stole teddy bears belonging to a children’s hospice.
He stole two teddy bears and a bag for life belonging to the Hospice in the Weald in Sevenoaks on September 22.
He also stole £124 worth of beer and steak from M&S in Sevenoaks on the same day.
Brook, 36, of Cumbrian Avenue in Bexleyheath, pleaded guilty to theft, theft from a shop and breaching a criminal behaviour order.
He was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison.

TK Maxx Bromley shoplifter
Paul Kewley, 38, of Medhurst Drive in Bromley, was jailed for stealing clothes worth £865 from TK Maxx in Cwmbran, Wales.
He was caught red-handed at the store on Sunday, October 5.
The defendant pleaded guilty to theft and obstructing PC Aaron Richards in the execution of his duty.
He also admitted being in breach of a suspended prison sentence.
Kewley was locked up for six months by District Judge Sophie Toms at Newport Magistrates’ Court.
