Officers were called to reports of an altercation in Shakespeare Walk just before 9.30pm yesterday (April 15).
London Ambulance Service crews also attended and found a man who had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital for further treatment where his injuries were assessed as non-life changing.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police responded to reports of an altercation in Shakespeare Walk, Hackney at 21:26hrs on Tuesday, 15 April.
“A man in his 30s was treated at the scene for stab wounds later taken to hospital for further treatment. His injuries have since been confirmed to be non-life-changing.
“Officers are appealing for witnesses to share relevant information via 101, quoting 7303/15APR. Information can also be shared anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
“No arrests have been made at this stage. A crime scene remains in place while initial inquires take place.”
