We headed up to the Fenchurch Street favourite on a clear spring evening to explore their latest concept, which merges sustainability with mood-boosting ingredients in a uniquely sensory dining experience.

And let’s just say, it didn’t disappoint.

The new menu focuses on four key ingredients: lemon, peach, mint, and banana, chosen not just for flavour but for their natural feel-good chemical properties.

It’s science meets cocktails, with a beautifully curated drinks list that leans into this theme through creative flavour pairings and bold presentation.

To kick things off, we sampled the Melatonin cocktail, a fresh and herby concoction that delivered exactly what it promised — a cool, mint-forward hit that instantly relaxed the senses.

Also on the table was the Pina Colada vs Batida, a tropical twist-up that was creamy, light, and dangerously drinkable, blending banana and coconut with just the right hit of rum.

Each sip was like sunshine in a glass, perfect for that golden-hour rooftop glow.

Moving to food, Savage Garden continues to impress with a menu that’s as stylish as its skyline views.

Pink Peppercorn Squid and yuzu aioli kick off the flavour journeyPink Peppercorn Squid and yuzu aioli kick off the flavour journey (Image: Holly Brencher) We started with the Pink Peppercorn Squid, served with seaweed and a punchy yuzu aioli that gave the dish a sharp, citrusy lift.

Crispy and light, it was the perfect opener.

Next came the Chicken Wings, sticky, smoky and laced with heat, satisfyingly messy in the best way.

The Beef Bao Buns were another highlight — soft, fluffy buns filled with melt-in-the-mouth pulled beef and topped with pickled vegetables for a satisfying crunch.

The Meat and Cheese Board brought balance to the table with a generous spread of cured meats, creamy cheese and pickled garnishes, ideal for sharing with friends or grazing alongside cocktails.

Every dish felt intentional, not just in flavour but in how it matched the energy of the menu: bold, indulgent and mood-lifting.

What really ties the whole experience together is the setting.

It’s dramatic, it’s daring and it’s designed for a night out that feels a little extra in the best way possible.

Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just in search of a new spot to take in the view, the revamped offering at Savage Garden is worth the elevator ride up.

With thoughtful, sustainable design, innovative drinks and flavour-forward dishes, this is more than a rooftop — it’s an experience.
