Police have cordoned off Rushey Green today (July 1) at 1.43pm after reports of the knife attack.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to the News Shopper, this took place on a 54 bus.
Two men in their 30s were found with stab injuries and are in hospital, but it is not known if their injuries are life-changing or life-threatening.
A man, whose age has not been shared by the Metropolitan Police, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and affray. He remains in police custody.
Officers remain at the scene and the bus is within the cordon.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “At 13:42hrs on Tuesday, 1 July Met officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance responded to reports of a stabbing in Rushey Green, Catford.
“Two men in their 30s suffered stab wounds and have been taken to hospital. It is not yet known if their injuries are life-changing or life-threatening.
“Officers remain at the location and a crime scene has been established.
“A man (age awaits) has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and affray. He remains in police custody. Several lines of enquiry are ongoing.”
