The programme of events, which will run from June to September, will include food festivals, carnivals, music, dance, and fashion shows.
Councillor Sandra Bauer, cabinet member for equality, culture, and communities, said: “Bring the whole family along to a Royal Greenwich Festival near you.
“We’re working with more organisations than ever for 2025, including some brand-new festivals.
“From community fairs in our award-winning parks to floating theatre on Southmere lake, this year’s diverse range of free, accessible events will bring residents together to celebrate our borough’s unique identity.
“Art and culture help our communities to thrive, boosting mental health, social cohesion, and providing learning and employment opportunities.
“The Royal Greenwich Festivals programme tackles financial barriers so everyone can access creative events and supports our Culture Strategy vision to be a place where creative people, innovation, and cultural connections inspire, encourage, and flourish.”
The festival will feature 10 providers and more than 25 events across the summer.
The events include ARC & You: Nigerian Cultural Finesse, which will feature cultural displays, dance performances, theatre, and a documentary on Nigerian and British culture.
There will also be the Arts Trust: Summer in the Park, which will see community events at Gallions Park in Thamesmead and Maryon Park in Charlton, featuring folk music, street arts, creative arts, food, and craft markets.
The Black Female Entrepreneur Greenwich: African Masquerade will include mask workshops, a fashion show, Afrobeat dance competitions, cultural food tastings, and market stalls, as part of Eltham Park South and Bostall Gardens PARKSfests.
The BME Volunteers: Greenwich Food Festival will celebrate food, culture, and community, including cooking competitions, food tastings, visual arts workshops, and health and wellbeing support from community initiatives.
The globally renowned Greenwich and Docklands International Festival (GDIF) will return to animate open spaces for a spectacular 30th anniversary celebration, including Greenwich Fair, parkour performances, fashion shows, and thought-provoking theatre.
The Plumstead Make Merry Association will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the annual family festival, Plumstead Make Merry, including live music, dance and drumming performances, food and community stalls, sports, and crafts workshops.
The spirit of carnival will return to Kidbrooke and Woolwich with music, dance, and food and community stalls as part of the TARU Arts: Kidbrooke and Woolwich Carnivals.
The Bold Melon Collective: Queer Migrations will feature musical performances, storytelling workshops, and an art exhibition from local LGBTQIA+ artists, exploring the themes of ‘queer migrations’ and ‘proud to be here’.
The Tramshed: ‘Whoddunnit?’ Cabaret Musical will see the Reach Theatre Company stage their show-stopping cabaret musical at Southwood PARKSfest.
The Woolwich Works: Brassworks will see the courtyard come to life with musical performances, plus a community brass parade through Woolwich town centre.
