A spokesperson said it aims to reopen both the Camborne Avenue and Tennyson Road post offices “as soon as possible”.
Both branches shut without warning in September – and are now marked as permanently closed on Google – leaving Harold Hill with just two post offices.
According to customer letters from the Post Office, the Camborne Avenue branch faced an unplanned closure on September 9 due to “operational reasons”, while Tennyson Road shut on September 22 following the resignation of the postmaster.

The Harold Hill Post Office, in Farnham Road, was also previously earmarked for closure, but a decision was instead made to franchise the branch.
Post Office has now confirmed that an experienced postmaster recently took on this branch.
A spokesperson acknowledged that customers in the area have been “inconvenienced” in recent weeks by the closures and changes.

They said: “We are working hard to re-open Camborne Avenue and Tennyson Road post offices as soon as possible and hope to have good news to share soon.
“The nearest alternative branch is Harold Hill.
“An experienced postmaster has very recently taken on this branch.
“As well as retaining experienced staff, there are new staff undergoing training, so we ask that customers be patient as they get up to speed.”
The spokesperson added that there are plans to add additional stationery and office equipment to the Harold Hill branch.
Other alternative branches in the area include Petersfield Avenue and Harold Wood.
