The club said they conducted a thorough recruitment process led by head of football Edu and technical director George Syrianos, with Forest also said to have made contact with former Manchester City head coach Roberto Mancini amid ongoing links to Fulham’s Marco Silva – who previously worked under Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos – and ex-manager Steve Cooper, who recently took charge of Danish side Brondby.
