Ayman Benhalima, 22, of Bloomhall Road, Norwood was sentenced to 24 years in prison at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday (November 28).
He was found guilty of attempted murder on August 13 and had also pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis, and possession of criminal property, at the same court on July 24.
The sentencing comes as part of wider Metropolitan Police investigation – tackling gang gun crime in south London – which enabled detectives to uncover a drug-dealing operation.

Following the probe, a second man Giovanni Bennett, 23, of Woodside Green, Croydon also pleaded guilty in July to being concerned in the importation of cannabis and possession of criminal property.
Met Det Insp Ray Sekalongo, who led the investigation, said: “Firearm offences have a devastating impact on victims, families, and our communities.
“Our priority is not only to bring offenders to justice but also to safeguard young and vulnerable people who are at risk of being exploited through gang crime and drugs.
“Alongside our partners, officers are working around the clock to prevent further harm and provide support for those who need it.”

After a shooting in Dunbar Street on December 16 last year, detectives from the Met’s Trident team – who are responsible for tackling and investigating shootings – were able to place both Benhalima and Bennett at the scene.
Following a search of their homes, officers discovered numerous packages of drugs and cash, as well as images of their drug dealing on their devices.
This led detectives to discover that the pair were involved in encouraging young girls and women to import drugs into London from Thailand for a large cash fee.
