The Metropolitan Police has launched an investigation into suspended Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe, following allegations that he threatened a senior member of the party.
Reform reported Lowe to the police last week, alleging that he had made physical threats of violence against the party’s chair Zia Yusuf.
A Met Police spokesperson said the force had “now launched an investigation into an allegation of a series of verbal threats made by a 67-year-old man”.
The Met said the investigation related to “a series of alleged threats made between December 2024 and February 2025”.
Lowe, who is 67, wrote on X that “my lawyers have not yet received any contact from the Police”, adding that “the allegations are entirely untrue”.
